Install on Windows

The Windows app is a per-user install: it needs no administrator rights and only affects your own account.

Download TwoPlacePaste-Setup.exe

1. Download TwoPlacePaste-Setup.exe from the button above or from the latest release.

2. Run it. If SmartScreen says Windows protected your PC, choose More info → Run anyway — the installer is not code-signed yet.

3. Keep the suggested folder (%LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\TwoPlacePaste) and press Install.

4. Start TwoPlacePaste from the Start menu. A tray icon appears near the clock and, because this device is not in a group yet, the app opens in your browser.

Note

The app’s window is a page in your browser at http://127.0.0.1:47821. It is served by the app itself and only reachable from this computer. Once the device is paired, the app starts quietly into the tray; use Open TwoPlacePaste in the tray menu, or start the app again, to get back to it.

• Create a group if this is your first device, or
• add it to your group if you already have one.
• Turn on Start at login in Settings so it is always there.
